Well, my dad's finally given up with PC's and he asked me to set up his Hi-Q A1200 Tower again. Sheeeesh.

After messing about most of the day, trying to get it to boot from the HD inside the tower, he says "The hard drive that's in it is out of an old PC." I love a guy with a sense of humor Anyways I put the original HD-drive in, play about for another couple minutes, and bingo! It now boots into Workbench, no probs. But I can't get the CD-Drive to work.

The ATAPI-IDE utility is installed, but when the CD is connected the machine hangs with the HD-drive light lit on the A1200. I've tried all different combinations with the same result.

I've not dealt with the Amiga in years, so I'm not sure about jumper settings (if any) etc

Any die-hard Amigans out there have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

'E' is for Ethernet. Used for catching Etherbunnies, Etherfish or Etherbutterflies.

No wonder there`s so much poop on my PC these days.
