Perhaps theres already a post simliar to this one already in the forum. Appologies if there is.

Some time ago as we know IBM chips where given the elbo from the Macs. Alot of people where pretty cheesed of with this move.

I wonder if these same users will be cheesed of when there new mack features A dual core conreo (2 core duo)

All of the MacPro desktops sport 2 Xeon processors each. There is a standard MacPro with 2 Xeon 2.66GHz processors. Build to order options allow 2 or 3GHz variants plus various RAM, HDD, Optical drives etc.

Rumours abound that the MacBook Pro's will get the new Merom laptop processor and most of the other Macs will get Core 2 Duo's over the next 3 months or so.

The IBM chips had come to the end of their road and there was no deceny successor on Big Blue's roadmap.
