Well the DIploma's seem to have coughed and died! What went wrong? Not much response or something? or have you run out of ideas?
It's a shame because I thought they were a great idea!!
If you have run out of Ideas then I have a load you could happily use - I could even write them!
1) Following on from the html guide how about one for PHP, or for Javascript. Both of which are easy languages to pick up and are really useful.
2) One I couldn't wirte but a graphics design one - making buttons, fancy effects etc.
3) Building a computer (altho I realise that would probalby not get alot of response)
4) Another one I couldn't write: Start using linux - set up linux and learn how to use it!
Just some ideas! I tohught is was a great idea to get people doing different things!
Cheers,
Tom

'ere 'ere! I'd have a bash at the graphics one.
A photography one could be interesting, if you know anyone that could write it.
I'd also like to see other peoples work, although I realise it could take up a lot of space on your server.
Plus theres a freeware 3d program called Blender which I've not got to grips with...

They've not died, and the third one is currently being written (Scribus) in time for late summer/early Autumn. We're working our way through the entrants for the first two, but we underestimated just how much work was involved in putting the diplomas together!

yah, I was interested in the diplomas and the photo manipulation and fixing one was good as it introduce me to The Gimp. I already knew the basics of web development and html, so a PHP or Javascript one would be nice but maybe after a linux one

another good one would be CAD or even to the next level, basic programming maybe with the end result of making our own basic games to upload to your central server for us all to try out and play.
