Hello mate - a couple of things to check:

1. Can you connect to your network if you (temporarily) disable security on the router? If so then its worth checking that yoyu are entering the key correctly (ASCII or HEX).

2. Is your router set to allow both 802.11b and 802.11g (11Mb/s and 54Mb/s) connections. If it is locked to only one type this could be your problem. This is normally configurable under thewireless settings of the router.

3. Sometimes the wireless adapter software and windows software don't co-exist very well. It may be worth trying the client adapter software to manage the adapter rather than windows to see if that makes a difference (untick the "use windows to manage this connection) under the "advanced" options for your network.

I had the same problem, usb dongle though, and as Blacklion mentioned the problem was allowing windows to manage the connection. Soon as that was stopped, no more problems.

Hello again - I must be misunderstanding because I thought you were getting as far as entering the key - don't you have to click "connect" to get that far?
