We have a number of WAP4400N wireless access points which we were powering from the mains supplys and working fine but we are now powering them using PoE and we cannot connect to the LAN. We can connect to the wireless but get limited or no connectivity, the Ethernet light on the AP is off and there is no light on the switch.

We have updated the AP's with the latest 1.2.11 firmware.

Thanks

Found a fix, it was gigabit ethernet causing the problem; if we set the port of the main switch to 100M then it works fine.
Gigabit does use all 4 pairs but 802.3af standard allows for power and data to use the same pairs.
