| Hey all, I have decided to get a macbook for my final year at uni to take advantage of the student discounts whilst i can. I really cant decide which colour to go for! Classic white, or the more expensive black? Any opinions would be greatly welcomed!

Think there were a few problems with early white ones going 'off colour'. Didn't affect many and production problem was solved a long time ago.
Personally i prefer the black but its horses for courses. The only real difference between the (new) 2.16GHZ white & black is the latter has a 160GB HDD versus a 120GB drive - for a princely premium of £120!!!
The White is the better value......

| Judging from the ones I've seen, the white MacBook does show up dirt pretty easily. The one in my local Comet looks really shabby, the trackpad is more brown than white now that grubby fingered customers have played with it. The black model still looks pretty tidy in comparison. Of course it might not be an issue if you can be bothered cleaning it once in a while...
