im new to this how do you clear the hard drive on a amiga a1200 back to factory settings.i have one when it boots up it looks for all the things that where attached the last time it worked 8 years ago like an external floppy and external cd rom ?.help

If I remeber correctly you need to load Workbench3.0 /3.1 floppy? then you should be able to see the HDD and delete the stuff.

I could be wrong, not having an Amiga these days to check, still after one.

This can be easily dealt with instead of reformatting. Show us the S:startup-sequence and S:user-startup text files... also what have you got in DEVS: ?
