I need reliable blank media to back up original disks. I run a music workshop and have just purchased Logic Studio, but I want to back up all the disks so each machine has it's own set, and I don't want coasters! The Logic Studio set weighs in at 7 disks, and I want to back up the system software, and the ilife & iwork disks, so I'm going to want a cakebox of 100 (I have 9 machines)

I am using Ritek disks at the moment, but they take ages to burn and sometimes they get kind of stuck and it takes 10 or 20 minutes for the mac to tell me it has an error, then spits the disk out.

So, recommendations please!

Many thanks all!

PS I also have al LG GSA-E40L external lightscribe writer which I want to be using for this also.

Cheers!

I agree with Wiz. I've been using standard Verbatim 4.7GB DVD-R's for a while and so far haven't had a failure. This is on both G5 Powermac and Intel Macbook. I believe both use DVD drives made by Pioneer so there may be a recommendation for media on their web site???

If you find somewhere that sells DL Verbatim disks please post back. Haven't found any at my local PC sellers and could do with a handful.
