| My sister in law just been given a Mac and we have no idea about putting messenger or equivalent on it to get her account back ? is there an alternative?

| Hi, you can get MSN from here http://tinyurl.com/4egyp To open '.dmg' just double click it simple as, once you have that extracted drag it to your applications directory and drag it from the applications to your dock for easy access. Jack

nope some compatibility issue on intel when running Safari 3 and messenger

Mac MSN doesn't do webcams, though. For that, you need third party clones, aMSN (www.cmq.qc.ca/4w/amsn) or Mercury Messenger (www.mercury.to).
