Hi.
I put some image files onto my new Leopard installation then securely deleted them. I now want to put some updated image files in the same folder name back onto my OS, but it says it cannot as a folder of the same name already exists. I have securely deleted the original folder, so how can it still exist, if it does, where is it to be found so that I can get rid of it to put the new folder on there? Any help would be most welcome.

First of all, repair your permissions. This solves a multitude of problems. Also, make sure you've updated to 10.5.1, as a finder bug which failed to check deletion when transferring to another volume was fixed with this release. Of course, you could rename the folders before you transfer them to your Mac, but that would be getting around the problem rather than solving it.
Let us know how you get on with it.
