I have been looking for an old post of mine made, I think, last August. I seem only to be able to go back to September. Is there a way to access posts older than this?

Hi BD.

Have a look in your user Control Panel, and in Forum Settings is one called Topic Cut Off. Set this to 'The Beginning' if not already done so.

You should now be able to go way back

If you still can't find the thread you were after, do an advanced search of the forum. Have it pull threads up with your name in (use 'exact'), and try and remember a phrase that was in the thread to try and locate it.

Hope this sorts it.

Thanks Jon, I tried that and it still only gives me the last 25 pages of my posts.

Ok. You are hitting the limit of 500 results quickly here

This time, advanced search, search by username: exact: bigdaddy etc. Now click on one of the forums in the list. I did a quick search just in Other Forums and there's topics listed that you have taken part in from 2005 onwards.

http://tinyurl.com/25fyg4 is the results of that.
