I loaded firefox on for browsing, just a ctrl+mouse wheel for text adjustment  You can go in to options and set the default too.
There was a hack for the OS text size but apparently 10.5.2 breaks it

I find the spotlight speed boost to be absolutely awesome! It's now fast enough to use all the time Other than that I am finding it to be a very good upgrade all-round. Apart from the 3D Dock which is just awful but you can turn it off easy enough with tinkertool.
