I just came across this little tidbit that I hadn't heard before, hold down the shift & option keys while pressing F4 or F5 to get finer control over your volume adjustment rather than just going up or down a block at a time.

There's a lot of little handy things like that in OS X. For example, if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, hold CONTROL and use the wheel to zoom into and out of the desktop.
I must round them up for a Mac Mart one of these weeks...

one Leopard feature i only discovered yesterday, is when you want to preview a file - say an image for example, instead of loading Preview, just hit Space Bar instead.

Yeah I love the zooming in, it's great if you have a decent quality video on a webpage that is only small, you can zoom it to full screen with not that much a loss in quality.
Also the spacebar preview thing is called quick look and it works for most types of file.
Brilliant stuff!
