In issue 771 (Oct23), there was article about overclocking the 800FSB P4. Well, I have a very similar system and when clocked my 2.8 by 10% to 3.06 at 880FSB, and then ran a benchtest with 3DMark2003, it actually DROPPED one point. I've listed my specs below, and can only assume that the poor results are due to not running 'Corsair' RAM.
PSU: Enermax 465Watt
M/B: Asus P4C800-E Delux (BIOS flashed)
CPU: P4 2.8GhzHT(C) 800FSB (with suuuuuuuper cooling)
RAM: 1Gb 400Mhz Branded (2x512 Dual Channel)
Vid: Asus V9560TD (FX5600 128Mb)
Snd: Creative S/B 5.1
The BIOS, Windows, and an Intel CPU tool all report that the CPU is at 3.06Ghz and at 880FSB. However, all my benchtests and games run at or below normal. Interesting. Things only improve if I overclock the graphics card.

Hi Pete,
In a word....... No! Did I miss something in the article? I'm sure there was no mention of this. Are you able to explain how to?
Phil
