Like those articles about the writers first computers etc, this one would be about what the writers look for in a new PC before they look at components, etc, and the reasons why.
For example, when I start thinking about a new PC the prerequisites I have straight away are that it has to be small, quiet (if not silent), good looking (in a computer way), and as cheap as possible. It also has to be able to encode video as quick as possible, be linux compatible, and have lots of storage.
If this ones already been done I either missed it or forgot it.
