Greetings,

I think the subject lines says it all really, but just incase, I'd like to know which computers you actually own rather than emulate. Which of those machines do you use? How often do you use them, and for what purpose? Which is/are your most used machine(s)? Do you use your Speccy as a games machine, for instance, or do you dabble in the dark arts of programming?

Also, are you having problems, such as modern television sets not working with your old hardware?

Thanks,

Shaun.

Alas I gave my speccy +2 away many moons ago. I still dig out my A500 for a play now and then (and is it me? but I don't seem to get the same kind of buzz buying modern games as I did with Amiga games), though at the mo I've just set up my CD32 for playing Frontier (but that's 32bit and for another thread).

Rig 1 - C2Q Q6600 with a Zalman CNPS9700 HSF, 8Gb DDR2 800, 4870 graphics, Asus P5B Deluxe WI FI Ed. mobo, X-fi Fatality sound with a 7.1 speaker set up, 320GB Seagate 7200.10x2, 500GB Samsung x1, slot loading DVD-wr x2, Hiper Type-R 580 PSU, running XP home and XP Pro64.

Rig 2 - XP2700, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mobo, 3Gb RAM, X800GTO, 200Gb SATA system drive, 250Gb SATA storage drive

I'v got two Amiga's. Although my original Amiga 500 no longer works...think I need a new power pack.

But I have the A1200 with the ultimate intention to get games off the net and then install them onto it's hard drive. I brought this beauty off ebay with a whopping 2.4 gig hard drive and brought a Blizzard Acceletor plus memory seperately.

Along with a PCMCIA card, I'v successfully managed to download a game off the net and conert it to floppy on the Amiga

Mainly use it for Kick Off 2 ( see: www.ko-gathering.com)

But love all the old classics which could be picked up in no time but would be difficult to master.

Also have a Phillips Monitor for it...think these cost a fair bit back in the day but can now be picked up for next to nothing lol. How times change!

Easy to play, difficult to master
