Slippy: There was another thread on this recently, but I'm not sure where
Columbo: Do the VOB files play back ok on the computer, or from the mini DVD? Another possible, but long winded, way of doing it would be to use Vidomi with the settings from the MPEG 4 encoding race and convert the files to .avi, then let Nero loose on them again. To save discs, burn to a hard drive folder first though. If it doesn't work, you can just delete the files

| Nero is pretty flakey and you can mess about with it all day if you have got nothing better to do. I have found a bargain for you for the price of 2 Starbucks and a packet of fags http://tinyurl.com/633ugm this is a new version of the old Intervideo suite-- very good

Slipstreem (30/04/2008)
Is there any way you can bypass the encoding phase? If the movie files are already MPEG-2 inside VOB containers then they don't need to be re-encoded to be DVD-compliant. I know that you want to get photos on there too, but what happens if you follow the advice I gave earlier and simply rename the VOB files and burn them direct to a DVD-R? Does it play back as expected on a standalone DVD player? Cheers, Slipstreem. EDIT: I know that I mentioned it before but I can't find it in this thread. It must have been another one. I'm sure it was in reply to the same question from you about multiple VOB files from mini-DVD though. LOL there was another one about adding two dvd's into one dvd and i just added them both and they worked file names were not a problem.
