MicroMart's investigative journalism was what drew me first to becoming a regular reader. The recent article on Phorm was very timely, and arrived at much the same time as an article in the New Scientist which adds NebuAd to the list of growing Web Income parasites.
The following link from BT http://www.beta.bt.com/bta/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=3050&tstart=0
Identifies that they have contacted 100,00 customers inviting them to trial their Spyware under the guise that BT Web Wise will 'protect' them from Phishing sites.
I would encourage anyone who has mistakenly signed up to to this 'service' to immediately cancel.
We spend good money on Anti-Spyware, and we like the web the way it is!. Junk Phorm and all its derivatives!

Some forum members may have already unwittingly 'opted in', by failing to read the small print of new, renewed or amended 'Terms and Conditions' of ISP contracts.
A clue can be 'phishing site notifications' in the web browser, or a surprising increase in received SPAM and/or junk mail.
