We've just got our broadband activated after moving house and for some reason it keeps on disconnecting after about ten minutes. Any ideas on what's causing it?

Thanks

Details please. Which ISP and what router are you using?

It could be as simple as giving it a few days to calm down.

The modem is a BT Voyager 210 and the ISP is Plus.Net. I don't really have a clue what to do, you're probably right about waiting for it to calm down a bit.

Hi Matt,

I am assuming you have moved in and BT have just connected an existing line into your property.

If you are connecting to the bt socket, try unscrewing the socket and plugging direct into the bt master socket and firing up your broadband.

If this cures the problem then BT will need to replace your wall socket as its a fault where your cover plate connection plugs into their master socket.

Hope this makes sense and also resolves your problem.

Nigel.
