Getting sick to the back teeth of my schizophrenic connection, so I'm looking at others.
PlusNet caught my eye with their "we're fer gaimerz lulz" attitude, and £40 of free GAME vouchers (woo!), but a sort of low download limit (10GB, although extra is 30p a month per gig).
Has anyone heard of them, and if so, are they any good?

When I last heard of them their peak hours download cap ran from 8am to midnight, no idea as to the quality off the service though.
Just make sure to read the whole contract before signing up.

I was with them for over two years.
The connection was always stable and customer service very good, however in January of last year things changed after being taken over by BT. As other ISPs lowered their prices and increased their speeds, Plusnet were very slow on changing and failed to answer e-mails and forum posts as to their future plans. At the time I was paying £19.95 for 2 Mb and Sky came along offering up 16Mb for £10 a month, so I changed and haven't looked back.
With Sky my router stats say 15002 Kbps download /764 Kbps upload and it stays the same most days. On a good server I can easily download at 800 kB per sec and via Bittorent up to 1200kB. I'm very fortunate as I'm less than a kilometre from my exchange, so Sky suits me fine.

I use PlusNet, and I must say that it's pretty good. I like the free night time bandwidth, and it's reasonable service. Although in the past week the speeds have been 0.5MB, when it's usually 5MB

we jsut got broadband with sky, and we live chuffing miles from the exchange, they had to lay new lines, and most sites say we can only get 512kb, but with sky we get 2.5mb on weekends, and about 1.8 in the week, not bad for us considering the huge distances we are from the exchange, also we get the tv and calls all together which works out nice a cheap. so yeah give sky a try oh im a poet and i didnt know it.

I should note that Plus.net's 8GB option has now been upgraded to 15GB for no extra money. The speeds are back up, too.
