The only bios setting that I've changed was "transaction booster". Changing it from "auto" to "enabled" and giving it a max value of '3'. Before it was throttling, after it wasn't throttling. The spread spectrum and such like was disabled throughout. I think asus have made some changes to transaction booster with this 1004 bios.
