Does anyone have a cure for the juddering picture when watching DVDs in SuSE Linux? I can view them in ogle and xine and have installed libdvdcss and have up to date libdvdread but the thing keeps stuttering. I'm planning to upgrade to v9.0 before the month is out but I don't think this will make much difference.
I'm running the following spec:
Athlon XP 2600+
1 GB RAM
2 x 40 GB IDE HDDs
MSI KT3 Ultra 2R Mobo
ATi Radeon 9000
Muse Gamesurround 5.1
If anyone has any clues pse contact me as I'm keen to abandon Microsoft as much as possible (and altogether once DirectX is put in the public domain and ported to Linux, WINE is perfected or an open standard is used for gaming.)
Thanks in advance,

This might be totally off the mark but have you got 3D acceleration enabled, I know that the Nvidia driver in Suse is a dummy and has to be replaced by the official Nvidia driver after system installation. Could this be the same for ATI ?

Thanks,
I didn't think ATi had released Linux drivers yet. This has solved it. Just need to sort out my soundcard now so I can hear things as well. All part of the joy. I guess if you want something that's just to your liking a bit of work is necessary
