Did you get a domain certificate or some form of nominet login info when you bought your domai. With small resellers like that you shouild ALWAYS get that info - do not have them register on your behalf.

Im a hypocrite because we do not pass on our certificates but we have so few and are unlikely to go bust any time soion

There is probably not much you can do: the reseller will own the domain name and if they have paid for it will be able to hold it for the duration. There is an outside chance of a nominet arbitration allowing you to get control of the domain.

Cheers,
Tom

Thanks Tom, yeah I have a "Conformation of registration" letter from Nominet.

@ Compaq2 - Ive seen that thread before, but thanks!

Finally got a day off work tomorrow! so gonna ring people, and luckily Nominet are based right here in Oxford, so if nothing happens Im going to march myself down to their offices and try to sort it out in person!

Will post back after tomorrow!

You might be alright.

Nominet have also just started emailing login links to customers IF the thrid party register it in your name & with your details so you can directly control your account (which is nice because it means you can change the IPS tag really easily now) - but it is varying wether you get the email or not..... I've got access to about 20 to 25 of my domains at the moment. The jury is still out on the 30 or so more registered via FastHosts (they seem to be draggign their feet )

Cheers,
Tom
