My Speedtouch 585 is doing my head in.
We finally got it sorted so I could play DoW online with Bish, but now it's weird.
I've been listed under at least 3 names on it now (it changes them), and it likes to reset all the open ports. And I've not been able to get it to work properly.
Also, sometimes if I put it to open port 6112, it repeats the ports put in before it, and this crashes the interface, and I can't access the settings until I reboot the router AND my system.
Anyone know what's up with it?

Thanks Dave.
Safest way is to CAT5 it up and do it that way, right?

Yes and save the existing firmware/settings imagefirst.
It'll download a file to the PC.

| Why not just chuck it in the bin? Get a DG834, which is far superior than anything passed out by the Speedist lot. I write as a previous owner of a freebie (Speedist) pile of junk, then a happy owner of a DG834, until old age took its toll of this fine mechanism. Even now, I am poring over its entrails, with a hot soldering iron, casting runes and bones, to find the cause of its demise. PS: why do pigeons only carp on Windows?

Only if you're buying Oldphart
I have a Phillips router somewhere, an SNU6500 I think (not too sure), think it's worth giving that a try?
