Sorry trike - but did you read the site? Read on:

The Aston Brewery closed in 1981, after 100 years of brewing in Birmingham, and production was moved to Allied's Burton plant and thus Birmingham lost one of its most famous landmarks

From early 2002, the brand was produced by Carlsberg Tetley at their Leeds plant

Incidentally, after 100 years of drawing their water from boreholes on site, when the brewery closed the water table rose and various local buildings suffered from "heave" as the soil expanded.

However on the plus side ( ??? ) apparently the Davenports name has been resurrected and the are shortly to re-start their "Beer at Home means Davenports" home deliveries.

I even remember the Aston brewery closing. Which is scary, as I was only an infant at the time...

I'm afraid not, and I doubt if you will find any, it was over 25 years ago.

I remember it from my previous life as an Insurance Risk Consultant. The effect was fairly localised, within a 300 / 400 metre radius in the area. Like all these effects it stabilised within a few years, but a few commercial sites were affected - from memory I think it included the old HP Sauce factory. Most of the area has now been long redevoped of course.
