Right, I had it run over night and it put in 3 units, then I had to go out and what with it being new, I don't want to be away and come back to an overheating GPU. I closed the WU, and hit shutdown.

Came back an hour or so later and the PC had hung on the XP "Your computer is shutting down". Had to use the power button to switch it off.

Just loaded it up and noticed that it had started a new WU. Anything in there that suggests foul play?

Right-click on the tray icon and quit.

Should I have paused the work first?

don't think so but nolan or another gpu2 folder may know better. it may have been the hang on shutdown that caused it ie the wu didn't have time to save elegantly

you can just click on the quit option in the GPU menu. I have had no problem when just quitting.

Thanks Hugh

As above.
Right click and quit works fine here.

Had a system lock up last night and had to just turn it off, restarted and the GPU client restarted from the last checkpoint. THis tends to point to some corruption of your files during the shutdown.

Cheers,

Keith.
