I got the impression from the news that it was dial-up?

Half the conversation (on the tv) revolved around the use of 'upto' and Virgin Cable Broadband is the only supplier I know of which does supply 'upto'. i.e. you pay for 10Mbps and upto your usage cap you get 10Mbps.

server+media: P4 2.8GHz @ 2.4GHz / 775Dual-VSTA / 2x512MB PC3200 / 1000GB+500GB+250GB / HD2400pro
also: P3 for the mrs and a linux box and probably enough bits to build another one

It was a rap over knuckles about advertised versus delivered broadband, but it hasn't deterred them and BPI from the following :

No distinction being drawn between one track or thousands so I guess there could be a lot of easy to persecute, 'little guy' cases, as per US state 'video piracy' cases ?

No, I have had nothing but good reliable service from Virgin, as I've said so before on this forum.

I have had my bandwidth reduced when downloading a Linux distro during their *peak* period. No problem really as they did warn that it might happen.
