Orthos should run on Vista.
Intel e7200 @ 4.0GHz (4.32GHz SuperPi(e)) Lapped Asus P5E-VM (Vdroop pencil modded) 4Gb Patriot Pc6400 4-4-4-12 250Gb Samsung Spinpoint Sapphire ATI 3870/Akasa Vortexx Neo Enermax 600 Watt PSU Ubuntu/Win XP All in a Thermaltake Handbag... Or flying @ 4.21GHz in the Stacker. Try some MM Super Pi(e) here!

More to the point, how do you go about overclocking the laptop?
No BIOS options and (at least in my case) speedgen and others would not register the PLL chip. Many a program wouldn't find it for me either.
In the end, I was able to overclock my GPU quite heavily, but I am stuck at 1.6Ghz on the CPU.
If you have success, please share the programs you used

If you have a supported PLL chip then the programs will do the job for you. Maybe I'm just unlucky

| EDIT.. i dont know if you can see it very well but it shows the cores as 74 degrees and 75 degrees. okay, i ran orthos first before i get into overclocking.
apparently the processor can safely go up to 100 degrees. odd though that it is sold as a t5550 but coretemp shows it as a merom t5600???? do you think it would be wise to OC it? EDIT 2...i ran intel's TAT and that showed a max temp of 80 degrees on both cores
