Hi Guys I installed Ubuntu 8.04, and as I am a noob to Linux I dual booted with Vista. I am delighted with Ubuntu, and wish to take Vista off my comp. My question is; if I went into Grub/ Menu/ List and deleted all references to Longhorn Loader would this work? Your's Kopite

Removing Longhorn loader from Grub's menu will just remove a few lines of text.
Vista will still be in place.
To remove Vista you would have to wipe its partition(s)
Unless you need the drive space you might as well just leave it be.

gn2 (05/08/2008) To remove Vista you would have to wipe its partition(s)This would then create a problem with ubu boot, it's doubftfull you would boot into ubu. Or as gn2 says, Unless you need the drive space Should you need the drive space you may be better to wipe the lot (using UBCD, zero fill, quick) and start again. Lots of hasstle as gn2 says, you might as well just leave it be.

Easily fixed with a Supergrub CD, which is an essential tool for the commited tinkerer..
