Hi there,

we're currently hosting with lunarpages and whilst they score high on the "review" sites, we're looking to move from their servers. Basically there are times when our site isn't available and won't connect via ftp, and at other times the site is painfully slow - both of which will be bad for business when we launch.

I've also been with ixwebhosting and am less than impressed with what they have to offer.

So, despite being fully paid up with lunarpages, I'm looking for a good webhost that I can rely on to keep my site fast and accessible. Has anyone got any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

I've just had a look at all the options and spoke with Krystal on the phone - technical line answered in 5 rings and they answered all of my questions immediately, even looked up information *I* was trying to remember but couldn't recall. I think I'll give them a try. Thanks all, and especially thanks Columbo!

I've used a few shared hosting packages and consider either Fasthosts (UK) or GoDaddy (US) to be the best, depending on budget. You get what you pay for, and while GoDaddy run on low profit margins and have perfectly good servers, the support that Fasthosts offer really can't be matched.
