I just downloaded windows search 4.0 from Microsoft update and although it`s flash I cant just ask it to search for all files of a certain type, it needs a file name witch is annoying as I just want it to find all my music so that I can clean up my system a little. am I missing something obvious?

I only have mine set to search Dekstop things. However, I think this works (tested it and it pulled a few things up).
If you want to search for mp3 files type:
"!mp3" Without the quotes. Basically, use ! in front of your search.
Hope that works
EDIT: On the topic of the Search, it is yet another reason that Vista is not going to be succesful. Now all it has (to the average user) is DX10.
Considering the driver issues I've had with it, I won't be using it on my main rig. My laptop I may move to Vista at a later date, but as XP works, why fix?
Disclaimer: Any advice I provide is only applicable in my reality and may need altering to fit yours There is no place like 127.0.0.1
