Hi, if your capture card has no audio input then you need to use the line in of your sound card to make recordings. I suggest that you practice this using the Sound recorder application supplied with windows. The key to making it work is to open the volume control and then by using the options properties menu select the Recording mixer, click ok and a new set of level sliders appear - the recording control. In this dialog you can select which channel you want to record from. Probably line in in your case. Once you have done this then Sound recorder, and any other recording application, will use this channel for its input. If your camera has a SVHS output (mini din) then use it. this will be the video (only) signal. The yellow RCA (phone) socket is the composite video output (quality not so good as SVHS) the red and/or white RCA (phono) sockets are the sound outputs. Well thats how I do it with my camera anyway. hth
