Be careful with the vcore on your Q6600, You will need at least 1.35v-1.40 for anything above 3.2Ghz(AFAIK), I would set the vcore and DRAM frequency manually but everything else( for now) i would leave on auto.
As soon as you find a stable overclock then i would set the ram timings/voltage manually to fine tune it.
I have limited experience ocing a quad and it was a Q9*** so temps were not the main concern.(Q6600 will run hotter)

I would be interested to know if you have played with any of the sub settings that im too scared to touch at the moment, Do bear in mind the importance of setting your ram frequency as low as possible during your overclocking.

Dont leave the vcore on auto if you plan on going over 3.0Ghz.

Currently FSB is at 377 so just under 3.4 Vcore is at 1.4v everything else is auto, worried about what NB & SB are at....do not want them creeping up too high

Cpu is 40 degrees [idle!] does not seems too bad

Will keep you posted

ok, at 388 system will login then reboot..... so either vcore is too low or ram voltage [got to check!]

Did not want to raise vcore anymore 1.4 is the safe limit [for me!]

other option is to lower multiplier but not sure if that makes much difference
