No problems using either a E7200 or E5200 both are supported by the P5K board.
If use go to the Asus site you will find a list of compatiable cpu's supported by the P5K, plus the latest BIOS 1103 issued 28/07/08.
As to buying a E7200 or E5200, other than being 45nm core, cooler running and using less power,it's pointless buying one, maybe someone can other see the benefits of upgrading, but I can't.
But, if you got quad core instead , say a Q6600 then I would say it's worth upgrading, perhaps I' wrong though!

Whilst it's great to say my CPU runs at XGhz, is your 3Ghz really letting you down enough to spend at least £60 on an upgrade?

| I think you see more return for your money, if you upgraded your X1950Pro graphic card, maybe one of the many HD4850 cards available.

Agreed. But I'd recommend following the ATI Tray Tools tweaking guide linked to in my sig before giving up on the X1950Pro. I run mine with the tweaks at higher than HD broadcast resolution (at 1366x768) and, as well as looking fantastic compared to not using them, it still keeps up with anything I throw at it with very respectable framerates.
The tweaks might provide you with an answer for the short term at zero expense.
Cheers, Slipstreem.
System specs: "Phoenix" - Intel C2D E4500 overclocked to 3GHz with ACF7Pro HSF on Volt-modded ASRock 775Dual-VSTA mobo (modded BIOS rev 3.10A and VNB=1.65, Vagp=1.8), 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 RAM (3.0,3,3,8,1T @546MHz), Sapphire ATI HD3870 512MB GDDR4 PCIe graphics card overclocked to 850MHz GPU & 2.4GHz RAM running Omega drivers. Powered by Hiper Type-M 580W PSU. Guess who likes overclocking on a budget.

You also have the 3870 cards at bargain prices now, still plenty of life left in them.

Thanks Slippy, you beat me to it.
Couldn't remember who had them at that price.
A lot of graphic power at a bargain price.
