Just got a new intake fan for my pc and was wondering how to wire it in. I know that it's simply connecting the molexs, buy what about controlling the rpm automatically depending on temp, or manually? Can this be done through my mothereboard.

I've all sorts of pins on my motherboard that are not being used and I have no idea what they are for.

Thanks

Scott

Plug it in. Suck in at the bottom front. Or out at the top back. You cant control the speed unless you add a speed controller.

I've got three 3pin fan headers on my MB for moitoring purposes. case, cpu and psu, the cpu is the only one being used so i'll use the case header for my front intake fan.

Will it be ok to plug my exhaust fan in to the psu header or will it cause problems? want to be able to use motherboard monitor to monitor tye fan speeds.

Thanks

Scott

just be a bit careful plugging a case fan into the mobo header
check to see how much power the fan needs to run and how much your mobo header provides you don't want to over load it you can get case fans with the standard molex connector but has the yellow one speed sensor on the small 3 pin mobo connector its worth checking first
