Five stars for Ebuyer, booked my order Wednesday 24/09/08 am on 5 day free post,
delivered 12:14 Thursday 25/09/08.

More than five stars to ACER,
Laptop picked up 6:10pm Monday 22/09/08 under warranty,
email Tuesday at 7:45am 23/09/08 they had received it,
email Wednesday at 3:04pm 24/09/08 ready for shipping,
Delivered at 3:40pm Thursday 25/09/08 to the door.

A bit worrying really. Suggests to me that the economy is really slowing down and that you were one of their few customers.

I guess the old adage may be becoming true, yet again-
"Hold on to your cash and wait for a crash"

That's when you really get a good deal and usually get treated like a greatly valued customer.

I think the best I have had before from the 5 day free was 3 days including order day, but I think that was just after Xmas.
If economy gets really bad, VFM, will they send you your stuff before you order it.
