Just found this at:

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html

It's from the same people who make Spyware Blaster, but it's real time protection. They do say that it's a work in progress, but I'm giving it a try to see how it goes

I used Spyware Guard a couple of years ago, but it never seemed to get updates, I assumed its development lapsed, so took it off and haven't put it on my new system.

I thought I asked about this when I got my new laptop, no one replied link to post!

I still haven't found out the answer to the other question in that post yet either!! It's on the "Speedee's list of things to do!!"

edit: fixing link!

it would be interesting to see if it is better real-time protection than spyware terminator.

I'm running it. Seems to be OK, though I would like it to have a tool to scan the computer. There doesn't seem to be any info on it that tells me if it's actually doing anything though.

I kicked Spyware Terminator, on the subject of it, as it was slowing boot-up and asked a lot of questions. I was running Windows Defender at the same time, not realising it had a real-time scanning part, so I'm using that (aswell as Spyware Guard for now).

Impressive if it is doing something, but I would like to know a bit more about what it is doing.

EDIT: Speedee, It's a duff link. Any chance of a fix so we know what you're on about?

I fixed the link!!

I've been using Spyware Terminator since you mentioned it a long time ago, Freakshow!, I like it!! Cookie and Favourite scan are good to have. It doesn't' ask me any questions anymore! not compared to Comodo Firewall

I still have Spyware Doctor running too and Spybot's Tea Timer! I put Malwarebytes Anti-malware on too a week or so ago and it found something in the registry nothing else had!

I do get multiple questions sometimes, using so much, but not often, and only if putting a new program on!
