None that I know of as far as connecting to a share.
It's the same as any other MS Share - it's based on Server 2003.

The only reason that I went for Xubuntu was because it's an old laptop Mobile P4 1.9ghz with 256mb and I couldn't get Ubuntu or Mint to install.

If anyone has another distro that'll work then please let me know.

You could get Ubuntu installed by using the Alternate CD which is install only.
Mint might install if you use this additional boot parameter: only-ubiquity
press F6 at the Mint Live CD splash screen then type "only-ubiquity" (without the quotes) then press Enter.

As for network browsing in Xubuntu, it's default file browser Thunar does not have network browsing by default, but is fairly simple to set up manually, here's how.
