Hi guys, im setting myself a bit of challange.
Basically, im looking for old hardware donations from you lovley micromart members to make a "Folding farm" pc or pc's.

The more parts i get the more pc's i get to build.

If anyone has ANY hardware from p2 upwards and wishes to donate towards this please get in touch.

Steady...

If you get a load of replies from this and accept the offers, you may be forking out a lot of postage refunds. The money may aswell go towards a cheap new motherboard, RAM and CPU combo (which will probably chew through WU's at the same rate, if not faster than a load of old stuff).

I'm all for recycling and all that though

5 CC wins, and proud of my messy dive!

Yes, indeed...

It would be better to run one fast, modern, more energy-efficient rig built with the task in mind, rather than several old clunkers.
That said, it is your 'leccy bill... (If it isn't, you'd better warn the bill-payer before you fire up any 24/7 crunchers!)

Haven't got any rigs to donate (sorry) but if you need any advice on setting it up / the networking or w/e then give me a shout.

[I have 20 or so old rigs kicking about that I use now and again and I'm trying to convince my boss to let me pile them up in the office and let them run.. the only sticking point is opening a VPN path so I can get remote access to them if I want - demon wanna charge a FORTUNE to re-activate the secondary ADSL line ]

Cheers,
Tom
