Been using Spyware Doctor Starter edition for a while now (since seeing it recommended on here). Ran a scan today and was prompted to upgrade as the free version didn't remove spyware (at the end of the scan). I've not done anything out of the ordinary but wonder if I've "smart update" has done something without me noticing. Looking on download.com this program is now getting negative reviews so I wonder if the freebie days are over?
Any one else had similar experience recently, or are they just picking on me?

Mines fine and it's up to date as well.
Seems they don't like you.

Thanks all - just uninstalled and reinstalled and all seems well. Out of interest can you install the google pack version on its own (without the rest of google pack). I don't like packs!!!

i always thought spyware doctor was not real time unless you paid for it and was only good when free to say whether or not there was something there. i had to pay for mine for a year before i realised that spyware terminator was also very good and was free.
