| Does anyone know of a good free bootable anti-virus / malware checker. Wat i want to do is check my pc before windows kicks in. Ive had a few problems with a virus or malware and had to do a complete reformat an install of xp. Now i want to be sure my system is ok... Ive tired avast an now move to avg... Ive also done the boot in safe mode an disconect from the net, didnt work with avast or avg.

I thought avast! had one? Is there not a setting to do it pre-boot?
If not, then I know Rising Antivirus definitely does, find it here: http://forum.micromart.co.uk/Topic295939-5-1.aspx
Hope this helps

| If you mean bootable as in from a CD then here's a few choices for you:I believe that the BitDefender one will attempt to update it's own definition files if possible whereas the others are a little more involved to update! Good luck!
