try superantispyware, malwarebytes anti-malware and a-squared. they are all free and one if not all should be good enough to remove it automatically.

Before we try to give help on fixing your malware problem we need to be sure what exactly it is you have.

Your first action should be to produce a hijackthis.log file and post it here.
Depending upon your OS you have a choice of HJT install and tutorial for use.

We will do our best to help, however if the log file looks particularly bad we may ask you to post to a dedicated forum for further help.

what captain cad is recommending is more thorough and will make sure that whatever is there is shown rather than just assuming it is one problem.  the programs i state above are good enough to get rid of most stuff but there may be other issues/troubles that could show up.

Hi used all of the programs you said. Seems to have done the trick. I was surprised that spybot didn't pick it up.

Cheers Simon

spybot will still find things that maybe the 3 i recommended wouldn't. that is why i use the 3 mentioned, spybot, ad-aware, avg anti-spyware and spyware blaster. the only realtime one being spyware terminator.
