I don't know if this is the best section of the forum to ask but here goes.

A friend sends me loads of email with movie clips with the ".wmv.clk" extension but I cannot play them.  I tried various media players but I have not found one that works.

Has anyone got a definitive solution.

Running Windows XP SP3 with WMP 11 and Media player codec pack 3.2.0

regards

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is any such standard as a ".wmv.clk" file. You could try removing the additional ".clk" and see if one will play as a standard ".wmv" file. Asking the friend where the files come from originally or how he generates them would help to give you an answer.

Cheers, Slipstreem.

It seems to be a file format found in CorelDRAW Graphics Suites:
Corel R.A.V.E. (Real Animated Vector Effects) — The CLK file format is an animation file native to Corel R.A.V.E.
Unless you have CorelDRAW, it's unlikely you'll be able to run it as is - try Slipstreem's suggestion of removing the '.clk.' part of the file name and see if that works. If it doesn't, ask your mate to convert the file/save it as a different file type before sending them to you.

Thank's both,

I already tried renaming for both .wmv and .clk but neither work. I also read the stuff about Corel as well.

I will try and find out from other recipients how they get on with the files.

I would attach one but I am not sure of the content yet
