Everytime I start up my Dell c840 laptop I get a message along the lines of NTSVR.DLL unable to find removable database
I read that this may be a torjan but none of my software has located this?

Linked from process info databases such as those on bleepingcomputer and castlecops.
SDFix is a good tool to attack this with, but an advanced one intended to be used under qualified instruction - to write and run scripts for it to clean specific files, for instance.
idk what you've tried but something like Malwarebytes or Super Anti-Spyware might work well.
