Right a couple of days ago i began downloading the Beta for COD:WAW. I was downloading it through my browser (FF3) and as it was taking so long to download i went off and left it. The only problem is my brother not knowing that it was downloading closed the browser then switched off my pc. So now i have a 495mb .exe.part file on my desktop.

What i was wondering was is there any programs out there that will let me continue where the download stopped or can FF3 even do this? It is rather frustrating as i was looking forward to trying COD:WAW.

Thanks

Jamie

Don't know how free this is but try Free Download Manager (Google it!!).

Just noticed, it's totally free as it is Open Source.  Here's the website:

I think FF3 can resume the download if you close the browser but not if you restart/switch off the pc. A friend of mine did this once and used flashget to recover the download by renaming the .part to the extension used by flashget.
Personally without using a download manager to stop the download and resume I wouldn't trust the completed download to be error free.

Cheers Chris
