errr, I think it's your monitor. It looks perfectly OK to me. Edit - then again I'm using a work PC but I can't really tell in partto the JPG compression adding artifacts. However I'd take a look in the monitor settings and see if things have changed (I had my settings slip down to 16bit once without me knowing, still haven't figured out why it happened).

I believe its the Sapphire 4870 causing your problem. Of course you should swap monitors (borrow one) to be sure, but i'd wager its the card. The saphhire 4870's are prone to a number of problems, see http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=260&threadid=98860&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear. It took them until about page 5 or 6 to figure out they all had Sappire cards, lol. I definetly read about a few people with your pink problem in researching the problem with my mate's card. If you purchased the card within the last 2 weeks you can send it back for a refund under the distance selling regulations, otherwise you'll probably just have to hope a future driver fixes the problem.

The problem seems to come from the way that ATI powerplay tells the card to switch clock speeds when it switches from 2D to 3D profiles. If you look through that forum thread you'll find a solution that works for most people.

i have messed about with the monitors colour profile and the pink disappeared, Then come back again. Looks kike the monitor needs to be RMA'd.

Check that the monitor cable is properly in. If it's slightly out then it gives you a pink picture

Second that on checking the cable is seated correctly, along with trying a different cable. I have had both issues in the past.
