I had some adware that I couldn't get rid of, no problem I thought I will just restore my computer with a backup from a month ago. I use Drive Image have done for years, but half way through it stopped with an error message ( which I failed to write down ) and refused to reboot in safe mode etc, etc.
Well I finally re installed windows to find that everything has moved down one letter so that now my operating system is on H drive.
As I installed all my programs on the original D drive, and the backup on the original E drive is there a way of swapping the drive letters around so that I can try and restore my system again?

If you can't do it in disk management - control panel/administrative tools/computer management/disk management, then have a look at this http://tinyurl.com/5dt9p

Be careful though.

The first suggestion wouldn't allow the system drive letter to be altered.
The second messed it up completely, so I re-formatted ....again ..installed xp, and my ethernet connection was not being recognised as even being there, fortunately I had an ethernet pci card which I am now using......so all is well and good in pc land
