That external USB dock thingy? Black square thing by the look of it. Could just push a hard drive into it to access it from the PC.
You know what I mean.
What was the damn thing called and who made it?

Did you mean this? http://tinyurl.com/67jdak It's SATA only but does support hot swap I believe.This one http://tinyurl.com/6qumad supports IDE, but of course cannot be hot swappable. It does do the job though, I own one. As it has it's own power switch you just turn it off, remove the old drive, add the new drive, turn it back on again. As near to hot swap as makes no difference.
