Great Article by Phil Thane in Issue 1032. (The depicted Ubuntu 8.10 installer is what's also being used in Mint6rc1.)
I'm looking forward to his next article, apparently about VectorLinux, which is new to me.
After a useful steer towards using Applications, Add/Remove, I was surprised that he didn't illustrate how easy it is to add Ubuntu Restricted Extras (which in Synaptic Search and Apply etc is ubuntu-restricted-extras) as it more simply adds not only Java but Microsoft Fonts, Flash Player and the LAME MP3 encoder etc, stopping short of installing libdvdcss2 which is already installed in LinuxMint Main Edition.
However, I was puzzled at 'Ask JW' being absent from Issue 1032, so I hope that all is well.

Yeah I was concerned about that too. He's not in 1033 either. I thought Jason wrote a really good column. It would be a shame to lose him.
