Phil, your server clock is on speed, or wacky baccy or summat. Can you sync it to some atomic clock?

(indicated +3 mins in last few days)

Oh, sorry, someone wearing an H Samuel neverite watch set it last time?

I don't believe this - it posts my posting time two mins SLOWER than my (real time) clock, i.e. five mins slower than what is indicated on your main page!

Thank you for that comment, Hooble.

My posting was intended to highlight the fact that the clock on the server seems to be unstable. This could be the precursor to a failure.

I do have some knowledge in this area, having written manuals on high accuracy electronic clocks, and repaired more than a few.

PS Why do you think I sign myself OLDPHART? Getting out more would be most welcome.

I must confess that the forum time is the same as the time on my PC here in the office.

I'll have to check it at home over the weekend and see if there is a difference there!?

But thanks for pointing it out.

Hi, Phil.

The problem cleared one or two days later. I always check things before I burst into 'print', so I wasn't on the thimblefuls of good stuff at the time of complaint! I checked on the main page, reloading it at minute intervals for several minutes, to make sure I wasn't putting my foot in my mouth

I wonder if someone in the depths of MM towers applied corrective action, i.e. applied a large boot to the server? (known in the electronics trade many years ago as "simulated aircraft vibration".)

Anyway, thanks for the reply.
